1.   What are your normal business hours?
Our normal business hours are 8:00am - 5:00 pm M-F

2.   What are your normal hours to accept samples?
We accept samples during our normal business hours.  However ECI will frequently extend those hours to accomodate our clients' schedules. 
Arrangements can be made for sample receipt outside normal business hours with advanced notice through a simple phone call or email, .

3.  How do I open an account with ECI?
You can call ECI and ask for client services or download a credit application and submit by email or fax.

4.   What is your normal Turn Around Time (TAT)?
Our normal turn around time is 7 - 10 calendar days. We have many projects with signifcantly shorter TATs.  We have earned a reputation for consistently meeting
our TAT committments; especially for crucial rush projects.

5.   How are TATs determined?

The TAT clock begins at the day and time of sample receipt if the samples are received during normal business hours.  If sample receipt occurs outside of normal
business hours, the clock begins at 8:00 am the next business day.  TATs do not include weekends or holidays.

6.   What is a Holding Time?
Most methods for environmental samples developed by the EPA and others have sections concerning the maximum time a sample may be held before starting
the analysis.  These holding time requirements are in place to preserve the integrity of samples against biological, chemical, and physical reactions affecting the
analyte(s) of concern. Not following the guidelines within the methods may invalidate the analyses. For this reason all samplers must be aware of these requirements.

7.   What type of container /preservative will I need?
Most methods for environmental samples developed by the EPA and others also have sections concerning the preservatives,and containers used to store the
samples.
  Theserequirements are also in place to preserve the integrity of samples against biological, chemical, and physical reactions affecting the analyte(s)
of concern. Not following the guidelines within the methods may invalidate the analyses. For this reason all samplers must be aware of these requirements.

8.   How do I order a sampling kit?
You can call ECI and ask for client services or fill out a kit request online.

9.   How can I schedule a sample pick up?
You can call ECI and ask for client services or email the request to spladmin@ecilab.com.  Please allow us 24 hours advance notice.

10.  Is your laboratory certified?
We are currently NELAP certified through the state of Texas.
